Below are a few animal tracks I came across north of Cincinnati, Ohio. With a good amount of snow, it was nice to be able to see these even hours after the animals passed through. There’s one set of tracks that I can’t identify. If you know what it is, feel free to respond below!
- These woods contain quite a few different types of tracks.
- Deer track in snow.
- Deer track. I believe he was moving right to left based on the snow to the left of the print being swished away slightly.
- Mid-sized dog paw print.
- My boot print.
- I suspect a squirrel or raccoon was scratching around for nuts or other food sources.
- Not sure what this is. Possibly a raccoon?
- Very curious about this one. Any ideas are welcome.

the last one looks like a bunny. back legs apart, front legs together. Date: Thu, 3 Jan 2013 01:17:50 +0000 To: pamspuppypalace@live.com
You know what, Pam, I think you’re right! I can’t believe I didn’t even think of that!!
Yeah that’s a rabbit/jack rabbit track.
Thanks Sara!
Id say either snowshoe hare tracks OR you dug sticks into the snow to laugh at how many people would try to guess
I would never do such a prank-like thing!
But seriously, I didn’t!
Well…it definately gave ME a laugh to think you did…
Though there were other thoughts of how you might have “made” them yourself that were equally as funny
